Lesley Smith Portrays Anne Boleyn

St. Mary's Church  Thursday, 23rd June  19:30pm

A costumed portrayal of Anne Boleyn in the Tower of London, appearing by candlelight in her execution gown during the last 45 minutes of her life.

Lesley is the curator of Tutbury Castle in Staffordshire, as well as a medical historian. She has appeared in more than 120 TV programmes and is known for her entertaining and informative performances of historical characters.

Taking place in St Mary’s Church, it is an appropriate venue for the show as it stands next to Thornbury Castle, where Anne stayed with Henry VIII in 1535 after becoming his second wife.

The talk lasts 45 minutes with a Q&A session afterwards plus opportunities for photographs. Refreshment will be provided (wine/soft drinks)

Not suitable for under-18s.
