James headlines comedy clubs around the UK, having turned professional after winning the Jongleurs New Act of the Year Award in 2000. His comedy is erudite, off-the-cuff and clean.
He has appeared on numerous TV shows, including the BBC’s Russell Howard’s Good News and Extras as well as presenting World Cup Round Up for Sky Sports.
Having grown up in the Anchor in Oldbury-on-Severn, he has become a leading comic on the subjects of beer, wine and pubs and wrote The Pub Manifesto: A Comedian Stands Up for Pubs, which was published in 2018 by CAMRA Books (Campaign for Real Ale). He is now fast becoming known as the Craft Beer Comedian.
